CHONGZHEN or SHUNZHI 1640 – 1650 Transitional Porcelain
A Pair of Transitional Porcelain Blue and White Cannisters, Late Chongzhen or Early Shunzhi c.1640 – 1650. Early Chinese Export Porcelain Decorated with a `Still Life` of a Large Vase of Lotus Leaves and Flowers with a Low Table Behind Which has a Censer and a Small Vase of Flowers. To the Left of the Table is a Bowl of Fruit. The Narrow Sides are Decorated with a Bird on a Flowering Branch. The Shoulders are Painted with Ruyi-Heads with Stylised Clouds.

- No damage, covers missing, minor glaze shrinkage around the joint between the necks and bodies. Pin-head size burst bubbles in places.
