An Unusual Late 17th or Early 18th Century Japanese Porcelain Dish

An unusual late 17th or early 18th century Japanese porcelain dish,  c.1680 – 1720. Painted in cobalt blue with a jar with a fabric cover on the edge of a stylised impression of either waves or the edge of the shoreline. The moulded border is unusual in that one of the asymmetrical sections is not moulded but left flat.
