Japanese Stoneware Fresh Water Jar 17th to 19th Century

A Japanese Stoneware Water Jar, 17th to 19th Century, probably Shigaraki ware. The rugged stoneware water jar has scratches, scrapes and finger marks all over the roughly hewn surface. It has two bifurcated lug handles and thick uneven splodges of glaze to the side.
