Early Kangxi Blue and White Porcelain Jar

c.1670 - 1690

A Transitional Blue and White porcelain jar, early Kangxi period c.1662 – 1674 or perhaps after the kilns at Jingdezhen re-opened c.1682 – 1690. Decorated using the cobalt blue to show the design in white. The decoration of this thickly potted 17th century porcelain jar consists of two panels of scrolling chrysanthemum.
