Kangxi Porcelain, A Pair of Kangxi Blue and White Porcelain Jars and Covers c.1700.
A Pair of reeded Kangxi Blue and White porcelain jars and covers c.1700. Decorated with roundels reserved against the moulded ground. The jars are painted with objects found in a scholar`s studio ; books, censers, ruyi-sceptre etc, there are also ‘Precious Objects’. This type of design is sometimes referred to as `The Hundred Antiques Pattern`.
The jars are in perfect condition. Both covers are broken and repaired (one is poorly repaired).
