KANGXI 1662 – 1722 Famille Verte Biscuit Porcelain

A Rare Inscribed Kangxi Famille Verte Biscuit Porcelain Model of a Building, Perhaps a Kiln, Kangxi Period c.1700-1720. The Back Inscribed Li Yen Tang, The Incised Inscription to the Interior is a Shorter Version of the Enamelled Inscription Which is the name of a Workshop.

Condition
Some repair ; the threshold to the smaller door is repair(reconstructed), three of the very small tile ends to the roof have been repaired. The later wood stand has a section to the central double foot missing.

Information

This rare model of a building is possibly as kiln, it looks different to most Chinese kilns of the period but there are some that appear to be similar. The enamelled inscription, partly repeated inside the building in an incised form, might help to indicate it was a ceramic or other workshop.
