An 18th Century St. Cloud Porcelain Blanc de Chine Inspired Rafraichissoir.

A small 18th century St. Cloud porcelain Blanc de Chine inspired Rafraichissoir (cooler) c.1720-1740. This moulded cooler has a gadrooned lower section an rim. The central register is in the chinoiserie  style with a scholar’s rock and flowers. The mask handles, presumably based on Chinese Blanc de Chine are grotesques with comically grimacing open mouths.
