A Rare 17th Century Japanese White Porcelain Dish c.1670 – 1690
A rare early Japanese porcelain dish with a moulded border c.1670-1690. The cavetto is moulded with six Ruyi shaped panels with birds and bamboo etc. This dish is rare in that it was left in the white, most were decorated at the time and some white dishes were enamelled in the 19th century. Undoubtedly this piece was made for the domestic market.
Condition: In perfect condition. Some firing faults to the back.
