Chinese Porcelain Beaker with European Decoration

c.1710 - 1730

A rare early 18th century Chinese export porcelain beaker, late Kangxi or Yongzheng c.1710-1730. The overglaze decoration of three shells is most likely to have been added in Europe probably the Netherlands and is, like the beaker it self, early 18th century. The tall Chinese porcelain beaker has minimal underglaze decoration of an inner border and two lines to the exterior, making it an ideal piece for decorating in Europe. The base with an unusual mark in underglaze blue.
