A Large Rare Kangxi Blue and White Double Vase and Cover c.1690 – 1700.
A rare, perhaps unrecorded large Kangxi Blue and White porcelain vase and cover. The extraordinary, somewhat bizarre form is effectively a sort of vase on a vase or a vase on a base. The design of continuous scrolling foliage is closely allied to decoration found on Kangxi vases recovered from the Vung Tau Cargo of c.1690-1700.

- The vase : in perfect condition. The cover : has two large restored chips, one is to the top edge of the cover c.35 x 18 mm (repaired on the inside 26 x 10), the second chip is to the top rim of the cover c.35 x 8 mm. Minor fritting to the cover.
