A Finely Painted Yongzheng or early Qianlong Semi-Eggshell Porcelain Teabowl and Saucer c.1730-1740. This En Grisaille teabowl and saucer is made of a very fine white clay and is thinly potted, so it is not surprisingly that it is highly translucent. The central painting in a strong black, consists of two oxen within a landscape with pine and rocks. The deicately decorated border has the addition of gilding.

Condition: The teabowl has long shallow chip to the outside edge c.8 x 3 mm that has been filled and has now discoloured. Minute frits. Size: Diameter of the saucer 11.1 cm (4 3/4 inches).
