YUAN 1279 – 1368. Longquan Celadon Ware.
A Longquan Celadon Ware Lotus Form Kiln-Water Bowl, Yuan Dynasty 1279-1368, Longquan Kilns, Zhejiang Province. The Step Sided Circular Bowl has an Indented Rim to Give the Impression of the Piece being Formed of a Lotus Leaf, the Incised Lines Inside Further this Impression. The Well of the Bowl has a Carefully Moulded Tortoise in the Center.

- The colour is much better than in the photograph. This piece is a kiln-waster ; part of the rim has an area where the piece has been stuck to something else and has then been polished, there is also a large firing crack.

- Diameter : 12.2 cm (4 3/4 inches). Height : 4.4 cm (1 3/4 inches).
