A 17th Century Japanese Blue and White Porcelain Dish, Arita or Kakiemon Kilns
A 17th century Japanese blue and white porcelain dish, Japanese, Arita or Kakiemon kilns c.1680-1700. The thickly potted flower shaped porcelain dish is painted with a rustic dwelling under the shelter of a willow tree. There are two dear either side of a rope. The rim is dressed with Kuchibeni (Meaning lipstick) iron-oxide glaze. The Reverse with painted Karakusa scrolling foliage, the base with a running Fuku mark (Luck).

- In excellent condition, however the blue is not strong and the glaze is rather grey blue in tone.
