A Fine 17th Century Japanese Blue and White Porcelain Dish
A moulded Blue and White Japanese Porcelain dish, possibly from the Nangawara Kilns, c.1660-1670.The center is painted in cobalt-oxide with an asymmetrically places ‘Mon’ within a circular border with four panels of plants. The edge has shallow raised moulded decoration including large single characters. The moulded decoration, profile of the piece are all typical of dishes of this type and early period. The base has a large mark within three still-marks.

- In excellent condition, one minute chip to the edge c.3 x 2 mm. The glaze is rather crazed and there is a stain to the base.
