A Late Ming Kraak Ware Moulded Dish, Wanli to Chongzhen Period c.1600 – 1630. The center of this Kraak Ware dish is decorated with a frog watching flowering lotus in the water below, a large peony in flower is above. The cavetto of this Kraak dish has eight shaped panels filled with flowers, peaches and auspicious objects. The base has a small area of chatter marks and a little bit of grit adhering to the glaze. The grit was used to stop the piece sticking in the glaze firing.
