Mark to Both Bases, Crossed Swords in Underglaze Blue for the Meissen Porcelain Factory. Gilders Mark '24' to the Teabowl and to the Saucer.

The author states that the scenes were taken from a print by Jacob Andreas Fridrich (1684-1751) after G.P Rugendas (1666-1742) as an illustration to Virgil's Aeneid (Book 9).
