An Unusual Kangxi Blue and White Porcelain Candlestick c.1700-1720. The High Octagonal Base Supports a Triple Knopped Stem with a Slit to Aid Removal of the Old Candle Stump.

Kangxi porcelain candlesticks are rare, most candlesticks date from the Yongzheng and Qianlong periods. Only a few forms are known to have been made from the Kangxi period.
