An Unusual 17th Century Japanese Porcelain Dish
Edo Period c.1650 - 1670
An Unusual 17th Century Moulded Japanese Celadon Dish, Arita Kilns c.1650-1670. The rectangular dish with a three-character inscription in Chinese cursive script, roughly translated it eludes to bamboo dancing in the wind. The top left of the moulded dish imitates folded paper.

- Condition
- In good condition, however there is a shallow chip to the corner of the footrim. The glaze is crazed, this appears more pronounced in the photographs than it is in reality. There is a small stain, perhaps a firing fault where the last character is.
