A Small 17th Century Blue and White Japanese Porcelain Dish.

An unusual small 17th Century Japanese blue and white porcelain dish c.1655-1670. This Japanese porcelain dish has shallow raised moulding consisting of a lattice trellis with swirling and crashing waves, the painted design shows two geese (representing happiness) among fruiting melon and water.

In perfect condition. The glaze is uneven and in some places the biscuit porcelain shows through.
