A Japanese Kakiemon Porcelain Beaker c.1700

A Kakiemon Porcelain Beaker, Genroku or Hōei Era 1688-1711, Probably Kakiemon Kilns, Hizen Province. This Kakiemon style Nigoshide (milky white) beaker has a gentle undulating cut rim giving the impression of a flower. The lower section is recessed and is supported on a neat shallow footrim. The sides of this beaker are decorated with flowering plants. The glaze is fine with a faint green-blue hue to it.
