A Small 17th Century Blue and White Porcelain Dish

A Small 17th Century Japanese Porcelain Dish, Arita Kilns c.1660 – 1680. Decorated with three panels containing flowering prunus in dark cobalt blue against a paler blue ground. The stems, outlines of the flowers as well as the stamens are highlighted using the Sumihajiki technique of wax resist. The back with trailing vines, the center with a seal mark with a spur-mark within.
