A Small 17th Century Japanese Blue and White Porcelain Dish

A Small Japanese 17th century Blue and White Porcelain Dish, Arita Kilns, Kanbun (1663–1673) to Early Genroku (1688–1704). This small dish with steep upward edge is painted in various tones of cobalt blue. The semi-abstract design is of segments of bamboo trellis with three prunus (plum or cherry) flower-heads and numerous scattered groups of leaves. The reverse is painted nine cash emblems. The base has a single off-center spur-mark.
