A Small Ming Blue and White Kraak Ware Dish
Ming Dynasty, Wanli Period 1573 - 1620
A Small Ming Porcelain Dish in the Kraak Style, Ming Dynasty, Wanli Period 1573 – 1620. The shaped rim of this small Kraak Ware dish has been cut by hand; the cavetto is lightly moulded with Kraak type panels. The center is painted with three small branches; fruiting peach, pomegranate and a branch with two flowers among the leaves. The back shows typical chatter-marks and small pieces of grit adhering to the glaze close to the footrim which has been wiped clear of glaze.
