An 18th Century Sèvres Porcelain Plate

1793 - 1800

An 18th Century Sevres Porcelain Plate c.1793 – 1800. Decorated with two gilded blue enamelled bands with a flowering plant trailing over a deep mauve line. The center decorated with tiny flower sprigs and gilding. The base with interlaced LL for Sevres and in a paler blue enamel script ‘Sevres’ as well a painter’s mark. The painter’s mark ‘V.’ is possibly for Leopold Weydinger (spelt Vindinger in the Sevres Painter and Kiln Records).
