A Rare 18th Century Japanese Blue and White Porcelain Dish. The Center Decorated with a Rather Wild Looking Angel Holding a Shield with an Armorial Device. The Border of this Shaped Barbed Rim Dish is Decorated in the Kraak Porcelain Style. The Rim with an Iron-Oxide Fuchibeni Dressing.

Information
Japanese armorial porcelain is rare, it mostly dates to the late 17th and early 18th centuries, rather than the second half of the 18th century like the present example. We have not been able to trace the arms and can not even say which country the piece was made for.
