A Japanese Porcelain Dish, Arita Kilns c.1680 – 1710.
A late 17th or early 18th century Japanese porcelain dish. The flower shaped form painted to the center with crashing waves with prunus flower-heads. The border with four panels of ‘Precious Objects’ alternated with panels of stylised waves in two tones of cobalt blue. The back with scrolling foliage called Karakusa.
