A Kakiemon Type Arita Porcelain Dish of Decagonal Form c. 1690 – 1730.
A Kakiemon type Arita porcelain dish of decagonal form c. 1690-1730. Painted with a pattern of scattered pine needles, threshed rice sheaves, and rice straw as well as broken plum blossom branches. The scalloped rim of the dish has a fuchibeni dark brown dressing and the reverse is decorated with a typical Karakusa lotus scroll border and a Fuku character within a double square, with a set of five spurs in a square formation.
