Song Dynasty Porcelain Ewer
Song Dynasty 1000 - 1300
A Small Song Porcelain Ewer, 11th or 12th century. The squat shape has a high bifurcated handle and the curved spout is slightly higher than the handle. The white body has lots of scarifications and has been doubled dipped with a translucent warm cream colour glaze. This Song ewer would undoubtedly had a cover with a tall finial.
