Song Dynasty Porcelain Ewer
A small Song porcelain ewer, 11th or 12th century. The squat shape has a high bifurcated handle and the curved spout is slightly higher than the handle. The white body has lots of scarifications and has been doubled dipped with a translucent warm cream colour glaze. This Song ewer would undoubtedly had a cover with a tall finial.
- In very good condition, there is a chip to the footrim c.8 x 4mm and a minute flake type chip to the underneath of the handle.
