Japanese Porcelain Dish c.1660 – 1670
An early Japanese Porcelain dish, Arita kilns c.1660-1670. The finely potted dish is decorated in shallow relief with a repeated ‘Ruyi’ head to the cavetto. The central scene is of waves crashing against two large boulders bound with rope and a rocky outcrop with plants growing from it. The base of this blue and white porcelain dish is marked.
