Kangxi Blue and White Porcelain Jug

A Kangxi (1662-1722) Blue and White Porcelain Jug. This small Chinese Export Porcelain jug is based on a European metal prototype. The angular handle is particularly reminiscent of metalwork. The blue is of a very strong deep cobalt tone.

- Some damage - There is quite a large but shallow chip to the unglazed rim of the jug, the spout has three chips which are mostly glaze. There is a small glaze crack/firing fault to one side of the spout. The cover has a small crack to one side.
