QIANLONG 1736 – 1795 Chinese Export Porcelain
A Rare Chinese Export Porcelain `Trembleuse` Cup Stand in the Kenjo Imari Style, Qianlong Period c.1740-1750. The Central Reticulated Gallery Would Have Held a Beaker Shaped Cup. The Broad Integral Stand is Moulded with Ogee Fluting and has a Sharply Barbed Rim. The Japanese Style Decoration is in Over-Glaze Iron Red and Gilding. There are Large Figures in Gold Against the Repeated Red Geometric Design.

Information
Mrs Helen Espire has shown me a plate from her collection with this design, her example is clearly Dutch decorated and on closer inspect the present example is also Dutch decorated. When you look at the design very carefully there are feint traces of Chinese decoration under the Dutch decoration.
