Information
Chinese Copies of `Pine Cone` Pattern :
The transfer printed Worcester porcelain original dates to c.1770-1775. The design known as the `Pine Cone Pattern` was one of the most common of all transfer printed Worcester porcelain designs and it is by far the most commonly found on Chinese export porcelain. It is interesting that the Chinese made quite allot of cress dishes with this Worcester design but the originals are not common, however common Worcester forms like teaware were probably not made by the Chinese. For an example of a rare Chinese copy of a Worcester `Fence Pattern` jug see our `Sold Items` number 23456.
