WANLI or TIANQI c.1600 – 1627 Ming Porcelain
A Ming Blue and White Porcelain Bowl, Late Wanli or Tianqi c.1600-1627. The Gently Slopping Sides of this Ming Bowl are Painted with a Continues Garden Landscape Scene. Two Large Birds Perch on a Rock with Large Peony Flowers to their Right, Two Birds Fly Over a Fence and Flowers Grow Behind a Further Fence, Above is a Swirling Menacing Sky. The Well of the Bowl is Painted with a Burst Pomegranate Exposing it`s Seed. The Bowl is Set on a High Foot, the Base is Unmarked.
